JUSTICE VINOD KUMAR SINHA ORAL ORDER 13-02-2019 The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Didarganj P.S. Case No. 75 of 2017, registered for offences punishable under Sections 341, 342, 328, 324, 326, 307, 201, 120B and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation against the petitioner is that he administered water mixed with some intoxicant content to the informant, due to which, he became unconscious and when he regain consciousness, he found several stab injuries on his body.

Earlier the prayer for bail of the petitioner was dismissed vide order dated 21.06.2018 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 32515 of 2018.

Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.8420 of 2019(2) dt.13-02-2019 2/2 that charge has been framed in this case but in spite of that no prosecution witness has been examined and he has been in custody for more than one and half years.

Heard learned A.P.P. also.

Having heard both sides, considering the facts and circumstances and the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail, at this stage. However, since the petitioner has been in custody for long, the trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same as expeditiously as possible.

With the above observation, this application is dismissed.
