Patna High Court CWJC No.7485 of 2021(2) dt.18-02-2022 2/3 It has been stated in the present writ petition that the shop of the petitioner was raided in the year, 2020 wherein a shortage of 24 bags urea were found. An FIR was thus lodged against the petitioner under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 7 of the Essential Commodities Act. The petitioner was however granted anticipatory bail vide order dated 11.12.2020. Thereafter, the petitioner has been representing to the concerned authorities to renew his license and return the stock register. It has also been prayed that a decision be taken regarding perishable goods stored in the sealed shop.
On a query being put to the learned counsel for the State, the learned counsel for the State submits that a decision on the representation and any other issues raised by the petitioner shall be taken at the earliest in any case not later than three weeks.
In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the State, no further adjuration of the matter is necessary.
