05.01.2015 Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and the State. The Petitioner seeks bail in Piparasi P.S. Case No. 7 of 2006 registered under Section 364A of the Indian Penal Code pending before the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bagaha, West Champaran.

Considering that the Petitioner kept absconding for a number of years even though he was named by the victim himself, I am not inclined to grant bail to him. The prayer for bail is rejected. The Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and for which purpose he is directed to send a list of the witnesses fixing specific dates for production of the witnesses along with a copy of this order, to the Superintendent of Police, West Champaran at Bettiah, and the Superintendent of Police, West Champaran at Bettiah is directed to ensure production of the witnesses on the date so fixed by the Trial Court so that there is no further delay in trial.
