The present writ application has been filed for a direction to the respondent authorities to issue the land rent receipt in favour of the petitioner with regard to the land appertaining to Revenue Thana No. 435, Khata No. 599/121, Plot No.545/284, situated in Mauza-Sanhaula, District-Bhagalpur and also to confirm the possession of the petitioner over the land in question.

In view of this Court, the relief prayed for by the petitioner cannot be granted in exercise of discretionary jurisdiction

Patna High Court CWJC No.25 of 2018 dt.20-04-2018 2/2 conferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, as it requires leading of evidence. Moreover, the petitioner has alternative efficacious remedy for redressal of the grievance. The writ application is, accordingly, disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum for redressal of his grievance.
