The present Writ application has been filed for a direction to Respondent no. 3, Commissioner, Patna Division, Patna to dispose of the Arms Appeal No. 215 of 2016 preferred by the petitioner on 23.12.2016.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner's application for grant of DBBL gun was rejected by Respondent no. 2, District Magistrate, Patna vide order dated 27.09.2016 and the said order was challenged by the

Patna High Court CWJC No.4702 of 2018 (2) dt.18-06-2018 petitioner in Arms Appeal No. 215 of 2016 on 23.12.2016 but till date the appeal has not been disposed of.

Learned AC to GA-4 submits that, at present, he is not having any instruction but the appeal will be disposed of within a time frame fixed by this Court.

Since the issue with regard to the grant of arms licence relates to the security of the life and property of the petitioner, it is expected from Respondent no. 3, Commissioner, Patna Division, Patna to dispose of the appeal of the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, this Writ application is disposed of.
