1. The instant writ petition has been filed for an order/direction upon the Respondent Authorities directing them to release the petitioner on parole for 21 days on account of marriage of his daughter scheduled to be held on 18th of February, 2024.

2. I have heard the learned Advocate for the petitioner.

3. The learned Advocate for the State is also present.

4. The petitioner was convicted and sentenced to imprisonment for life for committing offence under Section 302

Patna High Court CR. WJC No.271 of 2024(2) dt.16-02-2024 2/2 and 34 of the IPC vide orders dated 28th of April, 2010 and 4th of May, 2010. Therefore, he is in custody for last 14 years.

5. The learned Advocate for the State has raised no objection if the petitioner is released on parole for a limited period of time.

6. Under such circumstances, the prayer of the petitioner for his temporary release on parole is allowed.

7. The petitioner be released on parole for 15 days on account of the marriage of his daughter.

8. The petitioner is directed to surrender himself to the authority of Police on 1st of March, 2024.

9. The Respondent Nos. 2, 4 and 7 are directed to take immediate step for compliance of this order.

10. The Respondent Nos. 3, 4 and 6 are directed to provide adequate Police protection to the petitioner during his release on parole.
