The petitioner has filed this writ petition for a direction to the respondents to comply with the request letter sent by the District Magistrate, Sitamarhi to Deputy Secretary, Department of Revenue and Land Reforms, Government of Bihar, Patna to return the original records of Ceiling Case No. 1/73-74. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that land of the petitioner was clubbed with the land of Ram Sevak Singh against whom Land Ceiling Case No. 1/73-74 was initiated. Consequently, the land of the petitioner was also declared surplus. The petitioner filed Misc. case No. 1/2008 before the Minister and thereafter case No. 710 of 2013 before the Bihar Land Tribunal

Patna High Court CWJC No.14597 of 2016 (2) dt.13-09-2018 2/2 and the matter was remitted to the Additional Collector, Sitamarhi to hear the petitioner and dispose of ceiling case but since then the case is pending before the Collector.

Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid, the Collector, Sitamarhi is directed to take necessary steps for procuring the records and disposal of the case in accordance with law.
