In this case, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Khanpur P.S. Case No. 187 of 2018 registered for offence punishable under sections 47, 30 (a), 41(1), 41(2) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. Allegation has been made, the police party during patrolling duty reached Peykari Chowk and received informant that people of the syndicate have brought illegal liquor to sell in higher price in locality. The police intercepted and recovered huge quantity of illegal liquor.

Looking to the huge quantity of liquor, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and accordingly his prayer for bail is rejected. However, if the petitioner surrenders

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.9036 of 2019(2) dt.18-02-2019 2/2 and prays for regular bail, the court below without being prejudiced by this order will take decision in accordance with law.
