The petitioner who is working on a Group-D post in the Department of Water Resources, Government of Bihar has filed this writ petition for a direction to the respondent authorities to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the higher Grade in accordance with the Bihar Water Resources Departmental Field Clerical Cadre (Recruitment and Condition of Service) Rules, 2014 from the date, persons junior to the petitioner have been promoted.

3. The learned advocate for the petitioner has prayed for disposal of the writ petition at this stage itself with a direction to the respondent authorities to consider his case for promotion in accordance with the rules referred to hereinabove.

4. The prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, being limited to the consideration of his case by the respondent authorities in accordance with the rules, the learned State counsel has not opposed the prayer.

5. In that view of the matter, this writ petition is hereby disposed off with a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion from Group-D to Group-C, in accordance with the Rules, as expeditiously as possible, and in any case not later than three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
