Heard learned counsel for the parties.

This application for grant of regular bail arises out of Goradih P.S. Case No. 509 of 2018, S.T. No. 601 of 2019, disclosing offences punishable under Sections 147,148,149,341,323,324,326,302 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

Considering the direct allegation that the petitioner of having given the fatal blow on the deceased in abdominal region with Khanti, his application for regular bail was earlier rejected by an order dated 20.11.2019 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 48525 of 2019 with a liberty to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.21930 of 2021(2) dt.04-08-2021 2/2 after six months, if, in the meanwhile, the charge was not framed. Learned Court below was also asked to make endeavour to expedite conclusion of the trial.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that though the charge has been framed, there is no substantial progress in the trial.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the seriousness of the accusation against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant him the privilege of regular bail for the present. This application is, accordingly, rejected.

This Court expects the court below to take steps for expeditious conclusion of the trial.
