The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the D.P. Act. Allegation upon the petitioner is of committing torture upon the informant for non-fulfillment of demand of dowry. Learned counsel for the petitioner has filed a supplementary affidavit stating therein that case has been compromised on the point of one time settlement. On the basis

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.9553 of 2020(3) dt.02-09-2020 2/2 of compromise, Maintenance Case No. 379 of 2017 has been disposed off on 14.01.2020 by the court of Principal Judge, Family Court at Motihari which is annexed as Annexure-A to the supplementary affidavit.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the Court below within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the order, be released on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned C.J.M., East Champaran at Motihari in connection with Complaint Case No. C-2403 of 2017, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
