The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Jamui (Adarsh) P.S. Case No. 114/2018 dated 03.03.2018 instituted for the offence under Sections 147, 148, 149, 323, 324, 307, 379 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is alleged to have assaulted one Gaurav Shekhar by means of a sword on his head. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that though the injuries suffered by the said injured person has been opined to be grievous, but

It has therefore, been submitted that the version of the informant is not correct so far as the petitioner is concerned, as the sword is likely to cause a sharp cut injury. It has further been submitted that there is a counter version of the occurrence and some of the other accused persons of this case who are also said to have assaulted the different injured persons on vital parts of their body have been granted anticipatory bail by different benches of this court.

Regard being had to the aforesaid facts and taking into account the clean antecedent of the petitioner, he is directed to be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate,
