The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in a complaint case wherein cognizance has been taken under Section 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code.

The basic accusation is of torture for nonfulfillment of dowry demand and ousting the complainant from her matrimonial house.

It appears that on the joint prayer of the parties, vide order dated 21.07.2022, the matter was

The report of the Mediator is annexed as Flag-B which suggests that the parties have resolved their disputes through the process of mediation. The petitioner and the complainant agreed to live peacefully as husband and wife. The petitioner also agreed to keep his wife and children with full dignity and honour whereas the complainant also agreed to live with the petitioner as wife and behave gently with the petitioner and her parents-in-law.

In view of the fact that both sides have amicably settled their disputes through the process of mediation, let the petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the Court below within a period of four weeks from today, be released on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousands) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Sub-Divisional Judicial
