The present writ application involves the issue of payment of salary and other allowances.
The payment of salary requires verification of record and the University is competent to take appropriate decision with regard to the claim of payment of salary after verification of the record.
In the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, the writ application is disposed of with a direction to the University to take appropriate decision on the representation filed by the petitioner, as contained in Annexure-8, at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
Delay in the matter of taking final decision may carry interest at the rate of 9% per annum on the arrears of salary, which shall be born out from the pocket of officials of the respondent University.
