The petitioner seeks regular bail in Sonbarsa P.S. Case No. 45 of 2014 for the offence under Sections 498(A)/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The wife made allegations that her husband subjected her to physical and mental torture as also assaulted her with a sharp-edged weapon, which hit on her left hand. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner, being the husband, is in jail since 26.08.2014. All the allegations are false and concocted. The wife got simple injury on her left hand which falsified the allegation of assaulting her with a sharp-edged weapon.

Considering the nature of allegations made against

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.642 of 2015 (2) dt.08-01-2015 2/2 the petitioner and the fact that the petitioner has remained in jail for more than four months, the petitioner named above is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Saharsa in Sonbarsa P.S. Case No. 45 of 2014.
