The matter is being heard through video conferencing due to circumstances prevailing on account of Covid-19 pandemic.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP for the State.

The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Riga P.S. Case No.239 of 2021 registered for offences under Section 414 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has placed reliance upon the order dated 25.03.2022 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 8073

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.11145 of 2022(2) dt.01-04-2022 2/2 of 2022 by which similarly situated co-accused, namely, Fekan Sahni has been granted anticipatory bail by this Court. For the reasons mentioned in the order dated 25.03.2022 passed in Cr. Misc. No.8073 of 2022, this application for anticipatory bail is also allowed. Accordingly, let petitioner, above-named, in the event of his arrest or surrender within four weeks from today, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional District & Sessions Judge-IIcum-Special Judge (Excise), Sitamarhi in connection with Riga P.S. Case No.239 of 2021, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C.
