JUSTICE ASHWANI KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 3 04-03-2015 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State as well as learned counsel appearing on behalf of the informant.

The petitioner, who is in custody since 9.9.2014, seeks bail in connection with Beur P.S. Case No. 187 of 2014 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 420 and 406 of the Indian Penal Code.

It has been contended that the FIR has been lodged by the informant in order to extort money from the petitioner by putting him under threat of prosecution in a criminal case. On the other hand, learned counsel for the informant has submitted that the petitioner has cheated the informant in transaction of land.

Be that as it may, regard being had to the nature of the offence and the period undergone in custody, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.51851 of 2014 (3) dt.04-03-2015 2 / 2 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Smt. Rashmi Prasad, learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Patna in connection with Beur P.S. Case No. 187 of 2014.
