This is an application for regular bail on behalf of the petitioner for the offences alleged under Sections 25(1-b)a and 26 of the Arms Act registered in connection with Mahnar P.S.Case No. 237 of 2022.

A country-made loaded pistol was recovered from the possession of the petitioner at Mahnar Railway Station. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is innocent and is in custody for eight months. He has submitted further that in the FIR it has been mentioned that the independent witnesses have signed the seizure list, whereas they were Chaukidars.

He has been implicated in nine other cases which have been mentioned in paragraph no.3 of the bail petition. In my view, it is not a fit case to grant the privilege of bail to the petitioner. It is accordingly rejected. However, the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail after three months of framing of charge before the court below itself, if so advised.
