This application is for grant of regular bail in connection with N.D.P.S.Case No.08 of 2016 arisng out of C.No.VIII (10)04/Cus/Seiz/NDPS/RXL/16/310 dated 9.2.2016 for the offences punishable under Sections 20, 23 and 24 of the N.D.P.S.Act, 1985 and Seciton 20(b)(ii)(C) & 23 (C ) of the Said Act.
There is recovery of 4 kg. and 80 gram Charas from the possession of the petitioner.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Sr. Standing Counsel for the Customs.
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.27356 of 2017 (3) dt.18-07-2017 2/2 However, from perusal of the record, it appears that the case is pending only for evidence of two witnesses. Having heard both sides. In such view of the matter, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, however, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial and try to conclude it as soon as possible without being prejudiced by the order of this Court.
With the aforesaid observation, this application is dismissed.
