That this Civil Writ application is being filed for issuance of appropriate writ/writs, direction/directions, order/orders and thereby for a direction to the respondent authority specially the respondent no.4 the Circle Officer,

Patna High Court CWJC No.3009 of 2023(2) dt.02-03-2023 2/2 Cheriya Bariyarpur, Dist-Begusarai to issue caste certificates in favour of the petitioners as they belong to Gond Caste under the Scheduled Tribes community as mentioned at serial no.12 in the list of Notified Schedule Tribes of Bihar. The said list was notified by the Government of India under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Orders (Amendment) Act, 1976 and their caste are well mentioned in the property documents preserved by their ancestors."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioners to approach the Bihar State Caste Scrutiny Committee, for redressal of their aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted. The writ petition stands disposed off.
