2. Petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Dighalbank P.S. Case No. 75/ 2024 dated 01.07.2024 registered for the offence(s) punishable under Section(s) 80(2) of the BNS.

3. The main submissions advanced by the petitioner's counsel are that though the petitioner happens to be the husband of the deceased but, in fact, his wife committed suicide on account of having no child despite the lapse of six years of her marriage and in this regard, her postmortem report is relevant which shows that on her body no external injury was found except one ligature mark and this indicates that there was no resistance on her part at the time of her death which confirms

It is further submitted that petitioner has been languishing in jail since 02.07.2024 and his trial has started and charges have been framed upon him on 27.11.2024 but till date only one prosecution witness has been examined which shows the slowness of the prosecution in producing and examining the prosecution witnesses.

4. Learned APP appearing for the State has opposed the bail prayer of the petitioner.

In the facts and circumstances of this case and considering the aforesaid submissions advanced by the petitioner's counsel and mainly the custody period of the petitioner as well as his plea as to the victim having committed suicide and also the stage of his trial, this court is inclined to grant the relief of regular bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, let the petitioner named-above be released on bail in connection with Dighalbank P.S. Case No. 75/ 2024 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/-( Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Court concerned. (Shailendra Singh, J) BKS/- U T
