Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the counsel appearing on behalf of the State.

Petitioner is apprehending arrest in connection with Majhauliya P.S. Case No. 613 of 2019 for the offence under section 30(a) and 37(b) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner allegation against this petitioner is that he was identified by the informant fleeing away after throwing plastic bag containing 4.8 liters of liquor. Petitioner has no criminal antecedent.

Considering the aforesaid, the Court is inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner, let the petitioner, named

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.7909 of 2020(2) dt.02-03-2020 2/2 above, in the event of arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 25,000/- (Twenty five thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Special Judge, Excise, Bettiah, West Champaran, in connection with Majhauliya P.S.
