The petitioner seeks bail in Deedarganj P.S. Case No. 89 of 2014, registered for the offences punishable under Section 376 and other Sections of the Indian Penal Code.

The allegation against the petitioner that he committed rape with a minor girl aged about six years.

It is submitted that the case is lodged after much delay. The age of the victim is assessed to 8 to 10 years.

Considering the aforesaid facts that the victim herself made her statement under Section 164 and she disclosed that the petitioner committed rape with her, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected.

The trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same within one year from the date of receipt of this order. (Prabhat Kumar Jha, J.) Rakhi/- U T
