The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offence under Section 420 & other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the F.I.R., it is alleged that the illegally withdrawn amount of LIC policy holder Anand Mohan Thakur was deposited in the account of this petitioner. It is submitted on behalf of petitioner that petitioner is not named in the F.I.R. and his name transpired during course of investigation. It is further submitted that petitioner has played no role in the aforesaid illegal transaction of money and without his knowledge, the aforesaid amount has been credited in his account.

However, learned A.P.P. for the State opposed the bail

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.10578 of 2022(2) dt.08-08-2022 2/2 petition and submitted that illegally withdrawn amount was transferred into the account of this petitioner and petitioner has withdrawn the money on several dates.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the prayer for anticipatory bail of petitioner is rejected. (Prabhat Kumar Singh, J) anay/- U T
