JUSTICE RAKESH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 08-02-2017 Heard Sri Umesh Chandra Verma, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Public Prosecutor. This is the second attempt for grant of bail on behalf of the petitioner in connection with Shikarpur P.S. Case No.382 of 2015 registered for the offence under Sections 4 and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. Earlier, the prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected on 17.12.2015 vide Cr.Misc.No.55238 of 2015 mainly considering the statement of the victim girl recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that out of twelve chargesheeted witnesses, till date 10 witnesses have already been examined. He makes a prayer to direct for early

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.2667 of 2017 (2) dt.08-02-2017 2/2 conclusion of the trial.

Since the trial is at the fag end, there is no reason to review my earlier order. The petition stands dismissed. Keeping in view the fact that only two witnesses are required to be examined now, as stated by learned counsel for the petitioner, while dismissing the present petition, it is desirable to observe that the learned court below may take all steps for early conclusion of the case.
