1. Heard learned Counsel for the parties concerned.

2. The petitioner has filed the present writ application for a direction to the respondents to appoint her on the post of Lecturer in Commerce under general category pursuant to the Advertisement No. 134 of 1996.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner passed the post-graduate examination in Commerce subject in second class and was doing Ph.D. The petitioner applied, along with necessary documents, for appointment on the post of Lecturer in Commerce. The petitioner is a brilliant student but the respondents have knowingly not appointed the petitioner.

4. Having heard learned Counsel for the parties, it appears

Patna High Court CWJC No.20033 of 2016(4) dt.08-08-2024 2/2 that two posts of Lecturer in Commerce, i.e. one for general candidate and one post of Schedule Caste category, along with other posts were advertised pursuant to the Advertisement No. 134 of 1996, for appointment of Lecturer in Government Women College, Gardanibagh/ Gulzarbagh, Patna. Total 18 candidates had applied for the post of Lecturer in Commerce, including the petitioner. Admit cards were issued to the eligible candidates, fixing the date of interview on 28.05.1997. The Commission, after interview, prepared merit list on the basis or marks given for educational qualification and interview and under the general category, the candidate, namely, Shruti Tetarwe, having Roll No. 18, who passed the post-graduate examination in the first class, was recommended for selection.

5. Since, the selection process came to an end way back in the year 1997 and the petitioner has not made out any case for interference of this Court, the present writ application, being devoid of any merit, is dismissed. (Anil Kumar Sinha, J.) R.R Sinha/- U √
