The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is inadequate representation provided to the progeny of the freedom fighter.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as per the decision of the State Government 2% reservation horizontal is available to the progeny of freedom fighters. In the instant case the respondents have not considered the case of the petitioner for grant of horizontal reservation to the extent of 2%.

Patna High Court CWJC No.3698 of 2020(2) dt.25-02-2020 2/2 According to the petitioner, total vacancy is 857 and 2% of the same would come to 16; the respondents have published result of only 480 and they have only provided one reservation horizontal for progeny of freedom fighter.

Considering the aforesaid submissions, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondents to verify their records and if they find on scrutiny that less than 2% horizontal reservation has been provided to the progeny/dependent of freedom fighter, they shall take corrective measures by granting adequate representation to the progeny/ dependent of the freedom fighters. Necessary decision in this regard must be taken by the respondents within a maximum period of 60 days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid, the writ petition stands disposed of.
