The petitioner has challenged the order passed by the confiscation authority without exhausting his remedy of appeal before the competent authority.

Patna High Court CWJC No.3119 of 2022(2) dt.09-03-2022 2/2 This petition is disposed of with a direction that in case an appeal is filed against the order passed by the confiscation authority within a period of sixty days, it shall be taken up for hearing and the appellate authority shall pass necessary orders after giving opportunity to the petitioner to explain his cause.

Needless to State that the appellate authority shall pass a reasoned order within a period of sixty days after the appeal is preferred by the petitioner. The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
