Petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 414 of the Indian Penal Code.

Police raided a house and arrested accused Ranjan Kumar @ Billa who confessed that he was engaged in stealing motorcycles with the help of the petitioner. On his confession, police recovered a stolen motorcycle from south side of the house of the petitioner. Petitioner managed to escape at the time of raid.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has falsely been implicated in this case on the confessional statement of co-accused Ranjan Kumar. Nothing incriminating has been recovered from the conscious possession of the petitioner to connect him with the alleged offence.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.11605 of 2020(2) dt.30-06-2020 2/2 Petitioner has got no criminal antecedent.

Considering the facts of the case, let the petitioner, above named, in the event of surrender before the Court below within six weeks from today, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Sub Judge IV, Barh Patna in Mokama Police Station Case No. 211 of 2019, subject to the conditions laid down under section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
