The instant application for regular bail has been filed by the petitioner in connection with Muffasil P.S. Case No. 425 of 2022 instituted for the offence punishable under Sections 8/20(b) (II) (C) of the NDPS Act.

Earlier the application for regular bail of the petitioner was rejected by this Court vide order dated 27.07.2023 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 14698 of 2023.

In compliance of the order dated 23.02.2024, a status report has been received dated 28.02.2024 by which it appears that trial will be concluded within a period of three months. No fresh ground is made out for reconsideration of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.13692 of 2024(3) dt.02-05-2024 2/2 the regular bail application of the petitioner, as such, his prayer is rejected.

Accordingly, the application stands disposed off. The trial Court is directed to conclude the trial within the stipulated period of time positively as mentioned in its report failing which the petitioner will be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail.
