JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 22-04-2022 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. The petitioner prays for grant of regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under section 498A of the Indian Penal Code and under sections 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

There is allegation of subjecting the victim to cruelty and harassment for fulfilment of demand of dowry, against the petitioner who happens to be the husband of the victim. Learned counsel for the petitioner, while denying the allegation of subjecting the victim to cruelty and harassment for fulfilment of demand of dowry, submits that the petitioner is still ready to keep her with honour and safety. Learned counsel appearing for the State as well as the informant oppose the prayer for bail. Informant's counsel submits that the victim is ready to live with the petitioner. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed. Let the petitioner, as named above, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Saran at Chapra in Dighwara Police Station Case No. 202 of 2021.
