Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP for the State through video conferencing. The petitioner apprehends his arrest for the offences alleged under Sections 323, 342, 498A, 406 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, registered in connection with Complaint Case No. 67C of 2021.

As per allegation, the marriage of the complainant was solemnized with the son of the petitioner. The allegation is

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.11661 of 2022(2) dt.16-09-2022 2/2 that the husband and his family members tortured the complainant due to non-fulfilment of dowry demand. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that he is the father-in-law of the complainant and he has no concern with day-to-day affairs of the couple. Neither he has any concern with the dowry demand.

Considering the above facts and circumstances, let the petitioner above-named, in the event of his arrest or surrender within four weeks from the date of communication of this order, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/-(ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Lakhisarai in connection with Complaint Case No. 67C of 2021, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) Cr. P.C. Office shall ensure that all defects are removed by the petitioner within the stipulated time as provided hereinabove, failing which the matter shall be brought to the notice of this Court.
