The petitioner has approached this Court for payment of difference of salary as also the arrears and payment of increments to which he is entitled and which appears to have been withheld from him without any rhyme or reason.

Patna High Court CWJC No.4110 of 2019 dt.06-03-2019 2/3 It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that for redressal of his grievance, viz, payment of arrears of salary and other financial benefits to which he was entitled for his having served the department for a number of years, he has filed a representation before the Executive Engineer, Irrigaiton Division, Bhagalpur (Respondent No. 5), but such representation has yielded no result.

Under the aforesaid circumstances, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the petitioner to file a fresh representation to the Chief Engineer, Irrigation Creation, Department of Water Resources, Bhagalpur (Respondent No. 2), detailing his grievance, within a period of four weeks. Should such an application be filed, the same shall be disposed off by the concerned authority, i.e., the Chief Engineer, Irrigation Creation, Department of Water Resources, Bhagalpur (Respondent No. 2), within a period of four weeks thereafter, preferably by a reasoned order. If the claim of the petitioner is found to be tenable, necessary sequel order shall be passed within the stipulated period.
