The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Chakai P.S. Case No.217 of 2019 for the offence under Sections 420, 467, 468, 272, 273 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 30(a) and 41 of the Bihar Prohibition & Excise Amendment Act, 2016.

In the instant case foreign liquor and country made liquor was seized from Piaggio Tempo.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. Learned counsel for the petitioner specifically denied the allegation in para 10 of the petition that the petitioner is neither the owner of the Tempo nor he has any concern with the alleged liquor.

Considering the statement made in para 10 of the petition and the fact that the petitioner has got no criminal

No.8261 of 2020(3) dt.10-06-2020 2/2 antecedent, the petitioner named above, in the event of arrest or surrender before the court below within one month from today, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Additional Sessions Judge-II, Jamui in connection with Chakai P.S. Case No.217 of 2019 subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure with the condition that the petitioner will render his service as volunteer for a period of three months in dedicated Covid Hospital. He is required to report to the District Nodal Officer in the concerned region, who shall utilize his service in this pandemic.
