The petitioners are apprehending arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 419, 420, 467, 468 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Prosecution case is that on 18.03.2013 treasury office staff Altaf Ahmad handed over 6 applications to the treasury messenger Baiju Choudhary for allotment of Permanent Retirement Account Number (PRAN) on which signature of presiding officer and seal of the office were found to be forged. The accused persons including the two persons were never posted as the employees of the Civil Surgeon office. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.2766 of 2016 (2) dt.25-01-2016 2/2 that the petitioners did not claim signature on the alleged form. The alleged form which contains their signature and name submitted by someone else and above all in pursuance to the same, the PRAN never allotted to the petitioners. A statement has been made in paragraph 3 of the petition that the petitioners have no criminal antecedent.

Considering the fact thrust of accusation against Altaf Ahmad, who was staff of treasury office, let the above named petitioners be released on anticipatory bail, in the event of arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of 12 weeks from today, on furnishing bail bond of `10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned CJM, Darbhanga in connection with Laheriasarai P.S. Case No.136/2013, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.

The learned court below will be at liberty to cancel the bail bonds of the petitioners, if they default for three consecutive occasions.
