1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in connection with Majhaulia P.S Case no.576 of 2024 registered under sections 140(1) and 61 of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
3. As per the prosecution case, the informant states that her daughter had died and her grand daughter ie Chandani Kumari was living with the informant's son-in-law. The informant received information about her 13 year old grand daughter being unwell. On reaching her place, she found her grand daughter missing and the other members of the family were also missing. The informant states that she is convinced that the seven named accused persons including the petitioner
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.10477 of 2025(5) dt.10-06-2025 2/3 herein, as a result of some domestic dispute, have committed some offence with her grand daughter Chandani Kumari as a result of which she has disappeared.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the case by the informant who is admittedly not an eye witness to the occurrence. So far as the petitioner is concerned, she happens to be a lady and chachi of the deceased. She has been living separately from her brother-in-law ie the father of the deceased. The allegations together with the material that has transpired in course of investigation are at best circumstantial in nature. The petitioner who is a lady has no criminal antecedent and is in custody since 4.11.2024. Chargesheet has been submitted in the case.
5. The application for bail is opposed by learned A.P.P for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the allegations in the FIR, the material that has transpired in course of investigation being circumstantial in nature together with the petitioner having remained in custody for 7 months since 4.11.2024 and chargesheet having been submitted in the case, the petitioner is

No.10477 of 2025(5) dt.10-06-2025 3/3 directed to be enlarged on bail in connection with Majhaulia P.S Case no.576 of 2024 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, West Champaran, Bettiah.
