Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 385 and 387 of the Indian Penal Code.
Allegation against the petitioner is of demand of ransom from the informant who is the Principal of the School, for allowing him to construct the school building. The ransom was demanded on mobile call. The petitioner has disclosed the list of several cases lodged for serious offences against him. Submission is that the petitioner is in custody since 14.08.2015 and only material is suspicion. The case diary would reveal that another witness supported the allegation as eye-witness.
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.9097 of 2017 (3) dt.10-04-2017 2/2 Considering the aforesaid facts, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail in connection with Sonbarsa Police Station Case No. 113 of 2015 pending in the Court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sitamarhi. Hence, prayer for bail is rejected.
The learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial.
