The Petitioner seeks bail in Excise Case No.
121 of 2017 instituted for the offence under Section(s) 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.
It is alleged that total 18.36 litres of Royal Stag whiskey has been recovered from a car on which this petitioner was found sitting along with other accused persons. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that petitioner has no criminal antecedent. The petitioner is in custody since 21.01.2017.
Keeping in view the clean antecedent of the petitioner and the period spent in custody, the prayer of the
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.18289 of 2017 (3) dt.09-05-2017 2/2 petitioner for grant of bail is allowed. Let the Petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Gopalganj in connection with Excise Case No. 121 of 2017, subject to the conditions that both the bailors shall be the close relative of the petitioner.
