Versus
1. The State of Bihar .... .... Opposite Party/s ====================================================== Appearance :
For the Petitioner/s : Mr. Anil Kumar Singh For the Opposite Party/s : Mr. Ajit Kumar ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE VINOD KUMAR SINHA ORAL ORDER 28-02-2017 Heard the parties.
This application is for grant of bail in connection with Hilsa P.S.Case No.657 of 2015 for the offence under Sections 216, 387, 506 and 120B/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 1, 16 & 18 of UPA Act.
It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he has been falsely implicated in this case and later on implicated in many other cases and he is in custody since 17.01.2017. Prayer for the case diary has also been made.
Heard learned A.P.P. also, who has opposed the prayer for bail.
Having heard both sides. From perusal of the F.I.R. itself, it appears that the petitioner is named in the F.I.R. There is
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.9039 of 2017 (2) dt.28-02-2017 2/2 allegation of demand of 'Rangdari' and other taxes. Apart from that the impugned order shows that the witnesses have also supported the case during the course of the investigation, coupled with the fact that the petitioner is an accused in seven other cases. Considering all the materials, as stated above, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is dismissed. However, as the petitioner is in custody, let the trial of the case be expedited. (Vinod Kumar Sinha, J) chn/- U
