The grievance of the writ petitioner, in fact, is that he is the informant of Riga Police Station Case No.126 of 2014, but the investigation has not been properly and effectively carried out so much so that even the informant-petitioner's statement has not

Patna High Court Cr. WJC No.790 of 2016 (2) dt.30-08-2016 2/2 been recorded by the police under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

In view of the above and in the interest of justice, it is hereby directed that respondent No.5, namely, Superintendent of Police, Sitamarhi, shall enquire into the grievances raised in the writ petition, do the needful in accordance with law and get the investigation of Riga P.S. Case No.126 of 2014 completed expeditiously, preferably, within a period of six months, ensuring proper, fair and effective investigation in such a way that no innocent person is harassed.

Let a copy of this order be sent forthwith to the Superintendent of Police, Sitamarhi, and Officer-in-Charge, Riga Police Station.

With the aforesaid observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
