JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 16-12-2024 At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to challenge the order dated 12.6.2024, passed by the District Magistrate, Patna, whereby and whereunder the prayer of the petitioner for transfer of arms license, in his name, which according to the petitioner originally belonged to his grandfather, has been rejected, by filing appropriate appeal under Section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

It is needless to state that in case, appropriate appeal is filed by the petitioner within a period of two weeks from today, the appellate authority shall consider the same on merits,

Patna High Court CWJC No.3965 of 2024(3) dt.16-12-2024 2/2 without being impeded by the issue of limitation and pass a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks, thereafter.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
