In this case, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Excise Case No. 288 of 2018, registered for the offence punishable under Section 30 (A) of Bihar Prohibition & Excise Act, 2016.

About 138 liters of foreign liquor has been recovered from the abandoned house of the petitioner.

Looking to the quantity of liquor recovered, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. However, if the petitioner surrenders before the Court below within four weeks from today and prays for regular bail,

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.9578 of 2019(2) dt.18-02-2019 2/2 the Court below will consider the same and pass appropriate order on the same day without being influenced by the order of this Court.
