This is an application for bail in connection with Barachatty P.S.Case No. 347 of 2016 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 8, 20(Kha), 11(ga), 25 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that though there is alleged recovery of 66 Kg. of ganja from Bolero vehicle in which petitioner along with others was traveling but petitioner is in custody for six months and charge-sheet in this case has been submitted.
Heard learned APP also.
Having heard both sides and in view of recovery of huge quantity of ganja from Bolero vehicle in which petitioner
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.7966 of 2017 (3) dt.18-03-2017 2/2 along with others was traveling, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
However, as the petitioner is in custody for six months, learned court below is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner.
This application is, accordingly, dismissed.
