JUSTICE ASHWANI KUMAR SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 31-07-2019 It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that though an application was filed on 22.05.2018 in the court of Additional Sessions Judge, FTC-II, Purnea by the petitioner in connection with Sessions Trial No. 47 of 2018 for release of the victim, the same is not being heard on merits.

2. It is further contended that the petitioner filed another application on 22.06.2018 praying therein for leave to press the application, but the same was also not permitted and the application is still pending.

3. Keeping in mind the nature of relief sought for, I do not think it necessary to issue notices to the respondents.

4. The application is disposed of with a direction to the learned Additional Sessions Judge, FTC-II, Purnea to take up the application filed by the petitioner in Sessions Trial No.47 of 2018 and dispose of the same on merits expeditiously, preferably within two weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy o the order.

5. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the application of the petitioner.

6. Let a copy of the order be communicated to the court concerned.
