1. Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties.
2. Learned counsel Ms. Shama Sinha appearing for the petitioners seeks permission to convert the present petition of quashing into Cr. Appeal, as impugned cognizance order is covering the offence of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.
3. It is submitted that any order of aforesaid Act can be challenged before the Higher forum in Form of Appeal only, in view of 14A of the Act.
4. In view of above, learned counsel appearing
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.12091 of 2020(2) dt.15-05-2024 2/2 for the petitioners may take all necessary and appropriate steps, including filing of revised petition to convert present petition into Cr. Appeal.
5. Aforesaid conversion, be made positively, within six weeks.
6. Upon conversion, this petition stands disposed of.
