2. The petitioner has prayed for regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 80, 3 (5) of the BNS.

3. The case of the prosecution, in short, is that Priyanka Kumari (deceased) was married to Birendra Kumar on 27.05.2025. It is alleged that after her marriage, she was subjected to cruelty on account of non-fulfilment of dowry demand. On 21.08.2025, the deceased had called her mother while weeping; thereafter, information was received that she had died. The informant believes that the husband and in-laws have killed the deceased.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.10364 of 2026(2) dt.20-02-2026 2/2 connection with the present case. It is further submitted that the petitioner is the mother-in-law of the deceased. It is further submitted that she was living separately from the deceased in mess and residence. It is also submitted that the nature of allegation against the petitioner is general and omnibus. The petitioner is the mother-in-law, and the husband of the deceased is already in custody. Moreover, the petitioner is languishing in judicial custody since 22.08.2025 having no criminal antecedent.

5. Learned APP appearing for the state has opposed the prayer of regular bail.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this court is inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The above named petitioner is directed to be released on bail in connection with Darihat P.S. Case No. 60 of 2025 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Dehri, Rohtas.
