Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State. No one appears on behalf of the Branch Manager, State Bank of India. Petitioner retired from the post of Head Clerk with
Patna High Court CWJC No.18870 of 2018(2) dt.08-03-2019 2/2 effect from 31.03.2001 from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Commercial Taxes Department, Dhanbad Circle, Jharkhand, Ranchi. He prays for revision of his pay band and grade pay with effect from 01.01.2006 and revised pension along with arrears on the revised pay scale. The petitioner retired from Jharkhand, Ranchi as such counsel for the respondent state submits that the writ application is not maintainable on account of lack of jurisdiction. Considering that the petitioner is retired employee residing in Bihar within the jurisdiction of this Court more than 75 years old and the nature of order to be passed, this writ application is being entertained.
The petitioner is at liberty to represent before the respondent no.10 the Deputy Commissioner, Commercial Taxes Department, Dhanbad Circle, Jharkhand, Ranchi which will be disposed of expeditiously by the respondent no.10. Any admissible revision of grade pay and payment of arrears pension would also be made expeditiously.
