====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE MUNGESHWAR SAHOO ORAL ORDER 07-12-2016 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

Perused the impugned order dated 04.08.2016 passed by the learned Principal Judge, Family Court, Lakhisarai in Matrimonial Case No.51 of 2013 whereby the learned court below has directed the husband-petitioner to pay Rs.3,000/- per month as maintenance under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act. Admittedly the husband-petitioner is employed in Defence Department as Wireless Operator. The court below found that the wife has got no separate source of income for her livelihood.

In view of the above facts and circumstances and considering day to day expenses of these days, in my opinion, the quantum of maintenance granted under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act cannot be said to be exaggerated amount or excessive amount. Therefore, I find no reason to interfere with the

Patna High Court C.Misc. No.1194 of 2016 (3) dt.07-12-2016 impugned order in exercise of supervisory jurisdiction.
