It is stated in the counter affidavit and admitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the Gratuity and Commutation of Pension, as prayed for in the writ application, have already been paid to the petitioner.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that on account of delay in such payment, interest should be paid to the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner is unable to cite any statutory provision which requires the grant of interest on such delayed payment.
