This is a petition for grant of regular bail for offences under Sections 399 and 402 of the Indian Penal Code and 25(1-B)a, 26 and 35 of the Arms Act. A country made loaded pistol was recovered from possession of the petitioner and allegation is that the petitioner and others were making preparing to commit dacoity.

Submission of the petitioner is that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent and the petitioner is in custody since 03.10.2016, hence, he deserves bail. Considering the nature of allegation against the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail for the present.

The prayer for bail is refused.

However, the petitioner may renew his prayer after six months, if the trial is not concluded in the meantime.
